Who Is Dan, And Where Did He Go?

In our Feature article Revelation 17: Big Brother, we mention that those saved out of the nations of Israel listed in Genesis 49 differ from the list of the nations of Israel in Revelation 7, the 144,000. And we said that explaining the difference was another story. So in this Sneakers article, we will explain why the lists are not the same.

As you can surmise from the title, the missing nation in Revelation 7 is Dan. Dan is listed in Genesis among his brothers of Israel, but is not among them in Revelation. So where did he go? The reason why Dan is not among the saved 144,000 in Revelation is the result of what is prophetically said about Dan in the last days in Genesis 49. Let’s read what it says.

“Dan shall judge his people as one of the tribes of Israel. Dan shall be a serpent by the way. A viper by the path that bites the horse’s heels so that its rider shall fall backwards.” [Gen. 49:16, 17]. Those of Dan today are assisting in bringing about the sixth empire in Revelation, the beast with seven heads and ten horns. They are working hand in glove with Edom to fulfill the prophecy of Babylon the Great. [See the Feature article Isaiah 63: Big Brother].

Dan judges [Heb. diyn, to plead one's cause], or considers his people as one of the tribes or nations of Israel, but God doesn't. The reason why Dan is not included among those 144,000 of the nations of Israel in the last days is due to his deceitful idolatrous behavior towards his Christian brothers, the other nations of Israel. Dan casts his lot with Israel’s Adversary in the last days, “ … that old serpent called the Devil and Satan which deceives the whole world ….” [Rev. 12:9]. This is why “Dan shall be a serpent by the way … A viper by the path ….” [See the Feature article, We're Abraham's Seed And Heirs].

In our world today, those descended from Dan, who appear as fellow Christians, are complicit with the sixth beast, aka the wolf in sheep's clothing Antichrist, the Zionist Babylon, to undermine the birthright and inheritance given to his brothers of Israel. Often, they act as the "non-Jewish" frontmen for the Zionists. It is a reference to the subtle deception Dan uses to cause his brother nations of Israel to be deceived, causing them to fall from grace before our Lord. Dan, portrayed by God as a viper, is toxic to the House of Israel in the last days. The prophecies make it clear that he has partnered with our Adversary.

What makes this a bit more intriguing historically is that Dan was the nation of Israel that forsook their birthright inheritance, the land given them when the twelve nations of Israel returned from Egypt into the land promised to Abraham. They are working to achieve the same thing today, undermining Constitutions and the rule of law in the US and Europe, thereby the birthright of their brothers of Israel, while supporting wars in their quest for a one world government. Dan took a land not given by promise of God. And more importantly, they deliberately became the first nation of Israel to reject God in favor of worshiping idols. Those of Dan have this same proclivity today, especially when pushing to "keep Christ in Christmas," and keeping the "Merry Christmas" salutation in our social consciousness against interlopers that could weaken the deceit of the "Christmas spirit." [See the Feature articles, Our Corrupted Compass, also And Now, A Word From Our Sponsor].

“And they [the children of Dan] took the things which Micah had made [idols] and the priest which he had and came unto Laish to a people that were quiet and secure: and they smote them with the edge of the sword and burned the city with fire. There was no deliverer, because it was far from Sidon, and they had no ties with anyone. It was in the valley that belongs to Beth Rehob.

“So they [Dan] rebuilt the city and dwelt there. And they called the name of the city Dan, after the name of Dan their father, who was born to Israel. However, the name of the city formerly was Laish. Then the children of Dan set up for themselves graven images; and Jonathan the son of Gershom, the son of Manasseh [the US today; see the Feature article, Is The US And Great Britain In End-times Bible Prophecy?], and his sons were priests to the tribe of Dan until the day of the [Assyrian] captivity of the land.” [Jdg. 18:26-30]. The captivity of the land refers to the divorce of the entire House of Israel from God for their idolatrousness, with Dan at the forefront. " ... backsliding Israel ... is gone up upon every high mountain and under every green tree, [most likely the evergreen Cedrus Libani; "The cedar of Lebanon is a plant of cold high mountainous regions."] and there has played the harlot." [Jer. 3:6-8]. It is the same in these end times. [See the Feature article, Mirror, Mirror On The Wall].

Dan rejected the inheritance given by God, the land chosen by God, and abandoned the God of Israel to worship idols instead. Dan set up the family of Gershom, of Manasseh, as the priesthood for Dan. The priesthood as ordained for Israel by God was Levi, not Manasseh. However, Manasseh today in prophecy is the US, and takes Dan’s place in Revelation 7. So it is not surprising to see the following of falsehoods and fables pushed so strongly in the US by those of Dan in the media and government today. [See the Sneakers article, One World Peace And Security].

Thus, the sixth beast, Babylon the Great, Edom, who sold the birthright and inheritance to his brother Israel, is joined today by Dan, who rejected his inheritance. Contrast these two to Ruth who, as a foreigner in Israel, came to a people she didn’t know and fully trusted in the LORD. She was blessed and became great-grandmother to King David. [Read the Book of Ruth in the Old Testament].

Together, Edom and Dan, both having forsaken their inheritance, continue daily to undermine the House of Israel regarding our birthright and inheritance. And it is no coincidence that Christ said he was sent to redeem the House of Israel. These events, which began in Genesis, all come together in Revelation.
