As It Was In The Beginning, So It Is At The End

We may take the garden in Eden story as being insignificant, perhaps even dismissing it as a fable. In the big scheme of life, what does it matter? Has it mattered? I mean Eve and Adam ate some fruit they weren’t supposed to, and got thrown out on their bums. End of the story for most of us. But what’s of note here is that the incident in the garden in Eden was not the end of the story. It was just the beginning. It is a cautionary lesson very pertinent to our current situation in the world, which is a result of our making wrong choices ... believing the lies. And the consequences of these decisions in these prophetic last days are as life changing and life ending for us as it was for Adam and Eve.

Let’s begin in the garden in Eden, chapter 3 in Genesis. "Now the serpent was more cunning [Heb.,ʿārûm, subtle, crafty, deceitful] than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, 'Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden?'"

And the woman said to the serpent, "We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, 'You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.'"

"Then the serpent said to the woman, 'You will not surely die. [It's the orignal "safe and effective" ploy]. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.'" [See the Sneakers article, Does Romans 13 Mean We Have To Be Subject To The Evil Authority Of Men?]

"So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. [See 1 Cor 3:18, 19].

"Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings." [Gen. 3:1-7].

Well, that’s it for most of us, although the prêt-à-porter textile industry may see it differently. But little do we realize we all are in the same situation day in and day out. And our predicament in life is a result the choices we make. In this respect, we’re no different than Adam and Eve. And we think we’ve made the right choices too.

The first point to consider in Genesis, we have the truth of God spoken to Adam and Eve. "We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, 'You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.'"

Next, we have the first lie spoken to mankind. "Then the serpent said to the woman, 'You will not surely die.'" [See John 8:44].

Third, we have the first critical choice made by mankind. Do we believe the truth of the word of God and live? Or do we believe the lies and deceit of Satan and perish? Mankind’s first choice was to believe the lie and die. Adam and Eve weren't convinced of the truth [Greek, pistis, faith] of God's word. This tradition carries on today. [See 1 Pet. 5:8].

A simple look at our society tells us we, too, believe the lies. "The vaccines are safe and effective." Three lies in one six word sentence. [Not Safe And Effective]. They are not vaccines, they're experimental gene technology. A wholly different spike protein-mRNA kettle of fish. The word vaccine is absent from all the pharmaceutical companies SEC filings. And, rather obvious by now, they’re not safe, and they’re not effective at preventing "covid." In fact, today, the pandemic is a pandemic of the vaxxed including surging upticks in cancers and heart attacks. [Rapid Progression In Surging Cancers; Covid Vax Ovarian Cancers].

"They will not surely kill you." According to the CDC's own numbers, they have killed more in the US in seven months than all the real vaccines combined for every man, woman and child during the past thirty years. [Ed. note: CDC, by the beginning of 2022, these vaxxes have injured 119 million and killed 2 million in the US in about a year's time, VAERS reported numbers 1% of real world numbers according to Harvard University study; in September, it was reported 20 million killed and 2.2 billion injured worldwide]. And the lying, and dying continues. It's just a matter of when according to the dosage and formula received. The entire covid plandemic is a globalist version of the garden in Eden deceit on a much larger scale, produced by the original liar. [Again see John 8:44, also Massive Injuries And Deaths Very Successful, also our Newslink section for more examples].

These are only the most obvious lies and death duos in our society many have chosen to believe of late. And like Adam and Eve, we are suffering the misery, injury and death it brings to us. [See the Sneakers article, The Life And Death Pickle Of A Predicament]. There are heaps of other lies that we choose to believe that get us into trouble too.

But the fundamental issue is the same as was faced by Adam and Eve. Are we convinced of the truth of the word of God or do we choose the lies? As we are told, "There is a way that seems right to man, but the ends thereof are the ways of death." [Pro. 16:25]. Paraphrased for our current situation, "There is a "vaccine" that seems right to man, but the ends thereof lead to death." [The Vax Of Death].

Over the millennia, the deceptions and lies of false prophets have crept into what we accept as Christianity. [See the Feature article, Moving Forward]. And having walked this errant path for so long now, the truth of the word of God, and the love of the truth of the word of God have all but vanished, though we may think otherwise. Nevertheless, a good tree does not produce bad fruit. [See Mat. 7:15-20].

Hence, like Adam and Eve, in choosing the lies, we believe we have made the right choices. But the prophecies in the Biblical record tell us we haven’t, by a long shot. We’ve accepted the lies that have crept in unawares, ever so subtly. We have been baited and switched, just like Adam and Eve. And believe it or not, Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny are not apostles of Christ. This is not the facetious statement it may appear to be. In society at large, they are held in higher esteem, especially among atheists, more so than James, Peter or Jude, and truth be said, even Christ. You don't tend to see kids lining up to take pictures with "Christ" in retail stores throughout the land in December. [See the Feature article, You Know You’re A Christian When …].

The apostle Paul wrote to the ekklesia at Corinth concerning the time of the end just prior to Christ’s return, “The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all the deceit of unrighteousness among those who die, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.” [2 Ths 2:9, 10].

Here we are with the truth and lies, life and death again, but now at the end of the Christian age, prior to the return of Christ, and the establishment of the kingdom of God on Earth. We’re facing the same adversary, with the same choice as did Adam and Eve, with the same outcome depending on our choice. Do we choose the truth of the word of God, and live, or do we choose the lies of Satan, and die? [See Rom. 5:12].

Our current predicament in the world is the effect of our wrong choices. As professing Christians, we should be able to put 2 and 2 together here. So, before the door is shut on us [see Luke 13:25-27], will we shun the subtle lies in all aspects of our lives, and make the change to return to the love of the truth of the word of God?

A circle is merely a straight line stuck together at the two ends. Alpha and Omega. [Rev. 1:8]. The straight line from the beginning with Adam and Eve’s choice in the garden in Eden to our daily choices today has brought the lesson of life and death full circle. Are we blessed or cursed? Have we, therefore, chosen to live the truth or die in the lies?

Our choice is simple. Do we choose that which is good, or that which is evil? Do we choose to follow God or choose to follow Satan? Our Lord and Savior stated it clearly. "He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters." [Luke 11:23]. And that is why the question is asked, " … when the Son of man returns, will he find faith [Greek, pistis, conviction of the truth] on Earth?" [Luke 18:8].
